Prof. Duško Bjelica: “Building a European Bridge to the Future of Excellence in Sport”
The capital of Montenegro, Podgorica, will host the MontenegroSport Scientific Conference 2026, an international scientific conference taking place from 24–27 September 2026. The event has already attracted significant interest from researchers, university professors and sport science professionals from across Europe and beyond.
The conference will bring together internationally recognized experts in sport science, sports medicine, physical activity and public health to discuss the latest innovations, scientific achievements, interdisciplinary collaboration and future challenges shaping modern sport.
This year’s conference will be held under the motto:
“European Bridge to the Future of Excellence in Sport.”
According to the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Prof. Duško Bjelica, the conference aims to strengthen international scientific cooperation while promoting excellence in research and education.

“Our goal is to build a European bridge towards the future of excellence in sport by connecting researchers from different disciplines and encouraging the exchange of knowledge that drives innovation in sport science.”
