Prof. Bjelica: Dalić Has Left a Deep Mark on World Football
Zlatko Dalić, the trophy-winning head coach of the Croatian national football team, received the Plaque of the Montenegrin Sports Academy in Podgorica for his continuous international promotion of sports sciences and his achievements on the global stage.
During the presentation of the award, Professor Bjelica stated that Dalić has left a strong mark on world football through his professional work.
As a reminder, the Montenegrin Sports Academy hosted prestigious international scientific conferences from 2019 to 2025 in Cavtat, near Dubrovnik. At the previous conference, held in April at Hotel Croatia, it was decided that Dalić would receive this high recognition because, as the coach of the Croatian national team, together with his players, he won silver and bronze medals at World Cups, as well as a silver medal in the UEFA Nations League.
Dalić thanked Prof. Dr. Duško Bjelica, president of the CSA, and promised that, whenever his professional obligations allow, he will gladly attend and participate in the work of the most prestigious scientific forum in Southeast Europe. The forum is followed by three scientific journals, including MJSSM, indexed in the global citation database WoS, and SportMont, also indexed in the global citation database Scopus.
