Prof. Dr. Duško Bjelica was presented with the most prestigious award “FIEP Europe Thulin Award” in Finland

At the 32. FIEPS World Congress and the 15. European Congress, the most prestigious “FIEP Europe Thulin Award” was awarded to the Montenegrin scientist prof. Dr. Duško Bjelica, full professor of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro and president of the Montenegrin Sports Academy from the oldest European association in the field of physical education and sports – FIEPS EUROPE.

The Finnish city of Vierumaki was the host of this grandiose gathering where Professor Bjelica received this flattering recognition from the hands of Prof. Dr. Branislav Antala, vice president of FIEPS, as part of the opening ceremony of the world congress.

The “FIEP Europe Thulin Award” is an award that was established in 2010 and is a European award that rewards the most famous figures in the field of physical education and sports who have made an immeasurable contribution to the development of physical education at the national and European level in the field of sports science. The participants of the most important FIEPS world congress had a three-day professional work, and during the same, professor Bjelica was appointed as the national delegate of FIEPS.

FIEP (Federation Internationale D”education Phisique) was founded as early as 1923 in Brussels with the aim of promoting the development of a wide range of activities in the field of physical education and sports, sports for all, fitness and health, recreation, as well as coping in nature, for people of all ages and nations throughout the world, as well as to encourage and contribute to international cooperation in these areas.

By the way, professor Bjelica has so far published 74 books as author and co-author, which are university textbooks, scientific studies, scientific monographs and serial publications. He is an editor, reviewer and editorial board member of many international scientific journals. He has published over 400 scientific papers, including those in the world’s most prestigious scientific journals, which are available in the world’s most prestigious databases.
