Dr. Borko Katanić earned his PhD in Sports Sciences from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Niš, Serbia, with research focused on the motor and cognitive development of preschool children. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Sport Mont Journal (ISSN 1451-7485; indexed in the Scopus database), published by the Montenegrin Sports Academy, Montenegro. As the Editor, he has contributed to the publication of approximately 200 scientific articles. He holds the academic title of Research Associate and is actively engaged in scientific research. In collaboration with his colleagues, he has published over 100 scientific papers, including around 60 articles indexed in leading scientific databases such as Web of Science and Scopus. His primary areas of interest include the physical performance of athletes, with an emphasis on cardiorespiratory and motor abilities, as well as running performance—particularly in football players. He also shows strong interest in research on children's motor and cognitive development, body composition, and posture. Dr. Katanić collaborates with several institutions such as the Institute for the Advancement of Education of Serbia, the Center for Professional Development, the Montenegrin Sports Academy, and Sports Center “Mladost”. He has served as a lecturer at professional seminars, participated in scientific projects, and contributed to the organization of conferences and sports events. With over a decade of experience in sport and physical education—as a teacher, university professor, football and fitness coach, and event organizer—he combines academic and practical expertise, significantly contributing to the development of sports education and scientific research.
